Consigning can be overwhelming, but doesn't have to be! When prepping and tagging clothes follow these steps:
1. SORT: Go through all of your clothes and make 4 piles: Keep (for memories or Pinterest keepsake projects!), Sell, Donate and "trash". Any clothes that have light stains or minor holes DONATE, clothes that are very meaningful KEEP, clothes that are in really great condition SELL and clothes that are severely damaged "TRASH" (you can cut them up and use them for cleaning rags, or if you're crafty you can use the good material and make doll clothes, headbands, etc. Pinterest has a lot of fun recycle ideas)
2. GROUP: Group together outfits, pairs of shirts, pairs of pants, etc.
3. HANG: Hang all of your outfits, clothes pairings, etc. Zip-tie multiple hangers so they do not come apart. Once all items are on the hangers, organize the clothes in sizes
4. PRICE: Price your items and enter them onto MyCM in order from smallest size to largest size. Doing this simple step will save you a lot of time when you begin tagging! *Note: also lay all other items in a line and enter them from left to right, this will also help to save time when you tag!
5. TAG: Print your tags, cut them out and then arrange them in order of item#. Depending on how you're tagging, you can hole punch your tags now. Your lowest item number will be the first item you entered (which should be the smallest size). Your tags should now be in the order of how you hung your clothes!
